Every refurbished bizhub we sell is checked and serviced per unit before it is offered: inspection of the print engine and consumable components, replacement of worn parts where needed, verification of copy, print, scan and paper feeding, and a final test cycle before the unit is cleared for sale. Buy refurbished when you want the same proven print engine at a substantially lower upfront cost, with ownership from day one and no monthly agreement. Whoever you buy from, the same eight checks protect you. If a seller cannot answer these questions, treat that as your answer.

• The meter reading. The meter tells you how much working life the machine has already given. Ask for the current reading and compare it with the model’s expected service life.
• The service history. A machine from a managed fleet with regular maintenance is a safer buy than one with no recorded history at all.
• What the refurbishment replaced. Ask which components were inspected, replaced or serviced. Wear parts such as rollers, feed tyres and fuser components have finite lives and should have been addressed.
• Who did the work. Refurbishment by the dealer’s own technicians, with access to spare parts, is a stronger position than a machine simply cleaned for resale.
• Testing evidence. Print, copy and scan functions, and paper feeding from every tray, should be verified before dispatch rather than discovered by you afterwards.
• Delivery and installation. A floor-standing A3 machine needs proper siting, power and network connection. Confirm who does that work and what it costs.
• After-sales support. Confirm who services the machine after delivery, where spare parts come from and what the response commitment is.
• The price basis. Ask what the quoted figure includes: the machine alone, or delivery, installation and initial consumables as well.

No two refurbished units are identical, so we do not publish a single set of warranty terms that would be wrong for half the machines it claimed to cover. What stays constant is the process: every unit is refurbished, tested and cleared by our own technicians in Randburg before it is offered for sale.

Because we service what we sell, spare parts knowledge and the unit’s service record stay with one company rather than being handed over between a seller and an outside repairer. Two specifications do most of the work when matching a bizhub to an office: print speed, measured in pages per minute (ppm), and paper capacity, the number of sheets the machine holds before someone has to refill it.

20 to 30 ppm machines suit small offices and workgroups of roughly one to five people printing a few thousand pages a month. One or two paper cassettes are usually enough at this level, and the machines themselves are compact enough for a corner rather than a print room.

36 to 55 ppm is the workgroup workhorse class: larger cassettes, faster duplex output and optional extra paper feeding keep five to twenty users moving without queues. This is where most medium-size South African offices land.

65 to 75 ppm buys department and print-room capacity: high monthly volumes, full finishing options and the largest paper capacities. Buying this class refurbished is where the saving against a new machine is most dramatic.

On capacity, count users and refill tolerance rather than pages alone. A3 capability matters if you produce spreadsheets, plans or invoices at full size. A duplex unit, standard on most bizhubs, halves paper cost on double-sided work. When in doubt, share your monthly volume on the quote form and we will match the class for you.
